My Top 5 Worst Movies of 2016

A lot of people are saying that 2016 was the worst year ever, that it was just a shit year but not THAT bad, or that it just came and went like any other. Honestly, I’m inclined to believe that they all have their points. A bit overblown at times, but fair nonetheless. There was death of a lot of great icons in various fields that were inspirational to many, political upheaval in a buncha different places, and in the case of what I’m writing here, a buncha shit movies. Thankfully, there weren’t that many movies I saw in 2016 that were truly terrible and I’m thankful I missed out on some of them from what I hear, like Nine Lives, Norm of the North, Collateral Beauty, and others, but there were still some I saw that were pretty bad in their own right.  Now bear in mind, this is just my opinion here. If you like these movies, that’s fine, but for me, the movies I have here on this list kinda range from “disappointingly average” to “pointless” to “basically shit and shouldn’t exist”. Some of these movies I have done reviews for, and some I haven’t yet, I will get to them at some point, but I want to get this out of the way so I can get to reviewing the 2017 movies I’ve seen and of course other 2016 movies I’ve seen but haven’t reviewed yet, as well as some other stuff. I also decided to extend the number from three to five for this list, because honestly, I don’t think “just three” could do it for me this time. Anyway, here we go:

My 3rd Top 5 Characters for Young Justice

While it’s yet to be determined when (and also where, though I’m guessing Netflix) the third season of Young Justice will air, I can still make some lists of characters that I think would make good fits for the show and the story possibilities with them. Also, rest in peace Miguel Ferrer, no one could do a better Vandal Savage than you for Young Justice, and whoever takes over the role would have big shoes to fill. So here’s my third list of 5 characters I think would make a good fit for YJ:

Teen Titans GO!: The Fourth Wall TV Review

Anyone else get the feeling that these things are staring at our souls? Christ…

Rating: 1/5

This is something I’ve been looking forward to and dreading for a while: reviewing Teen Titans GO! Never thought I’d actually do this, but I figure with a lot of others giving TTG flak, I thought I’d put in my two cents. Bare in mind, I’m probably going to talk about stuff regarding this show that you’ve probably already heard before, so forgive me if I sound like I’m regurgitating this stuff. Read More

Infinity Train TV Review

Rating: 5/5

Apparently CN is trying to get new shows off the ground, one of which has really piqued my interest, that being Infinity Train. So far only the pilot has been released, but ever since I watched it on YouTube it’s been stuck in my head and I had to talk about it here. From what I understand the show is about a girl named Tulip (voiced by Ashley Johnson, the voice of Ellie from The Last of Us and Terra from Teen Titans, and currently stars on Blindspot), and her robot friend One-One who splits into two robots, Glad-One (voiced by Jeremy Crutchley who sounds like John Oliver) and Sad-One (voiced by Owen Dennis, the creator of the show, who sounds like Maurice LaMarche), navigating through a mysterious train that is seemingly limitless and each car housing an internal dimension. It’s very interesting in regards to its premise, simple yet dynamic animation, voice acting, characters, humor, and the possibilities it presents through its surrealism. It kinda reminds me of some the recent cartoons both CN and Disney have done, in a way. Read More

My Top 10 Most Anticipated Movies of 2017

2016 has been a monster of a year, what with the election and all (it’s gonna be a LONG four years; also fuck Trump and the Trump police if they try to get me), and of course with movies. For every gem that came out, there were also mixed bags at best and some REALLY bad movies at worst. I’ve yet to finish reviewing movies from 2016 that I’ve seen, there’s still some 2016 movies I’ve yet to see and would like to (and also dreading to see but you know me, I’m kind of a sadomasochist when it comes to this stuff) and to make my top best and worst movies of 2016, but I thought I’d try to get this out of the way in the meantime. So far as I’ve seen, 2017 doesn’t seem to be too bad for movies, and I’m looking forward to more. Now I will admit, I’ve already seen some movies that came out this year (The Lego Batman Movie, Split, Get Out, and John Wick: Chapter Two) so I won’t include them in the list, but I will say that they are definitely awesome and innovative in their own right, and hopefully there will be more awesomeness to come, though there will also be some crap movies coming out too. Also this is just my opinion, so if you have different ideas of movies to look forward to or dreading to see, that’s fine. So here we go:
